The next few years will see two critical elections for voters in London.

In 2010 there will be the local government elections, with all 48 seats on Islington Council up for grabs

General Election

Whenever the next General Election is called (and it has to be before June 2010), the Greens in Islington are ready. Our Prospective Parliamentary Candidate in North Islington is Emma Dixon. In South Islington our PPC is James Humphreys.

In the 2004 general election we scored 7.2% and 4.8% of the vote respectively in these constitutencies, and based on the results in the May 2006 local elections andour impressive showings in the 2008 GLA and 2009 Euro elections , we’re looking at a significant increase next time round.

So bring it on, Gordon (or whoever).
