Someone said to us when we were out petitioning for a safer road crossing recently “why are the Greens interested in road safety…?”
Well, being Green is about more than just sticking a wind turbine on your roof or putting biodiesel in the Range Rover - it’s a fundamental rethink of the kind of society we want to live in, and how each one of us plays our part in the communities where we live. It’s about structuring the economy around people, not products, around conservation not consumption, and puts the local before the global. We believe this approach will make society more fair, our cities more liveable, and all of our lives more fulfilling, healthier, and, frankly, more fun.
